NAME: Colin Linn
POSITION: Branch Manager
LOCATION: Tacoma, WA
As branch manager for the Tacoma Star Rentals, Colin Linn wears many hats. “There
are four distinct areas in this job—operations and sales management; training and
supervision; business accounting and budgeting; and customer service and communication,”
he says. “I enjoy what I do - and every day is different,” adds Colin.
At the suggestion of a friend, Colin started working at Star Rentals a month after
high school graduation. “My friend was promoted, so I replaced him as a yard
tech,” explains Colin. The job involved inspecting, servicing and washing
of large equipment, as well as loading and unloading equipment for customers.
